New chicken parent in NC

Looking forward to getting lots of helpful info on this forum! I have three different breeds - 2 Amercauna (did I spell that right?), 2 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Buff Orfington (once again, hope I spelled that right). They are all females and are about 12 days old right now. We've never owned chickens before, and this is very exciting. One Amercauna girl is quite brave and will jump up into my hand so I can pick her up and put her in my lap. The other Amercauna is the polar opposite - quite skittish. She scares the other ones sometimes when she gets so nervous. The Reds and the Buffs are quite sweet and gentle. I also have a 12 year old gray stripey boy cat and a 4 year old female black Lab.
