Welcome!BYC is the best place to come to for all of your needs!! I had a rooster that was a Bantum, so pretty small. I thought that he was a she. He was pretty slow in the development of his comb, talons, and crow. I noticed often that he was grabbing at the necks of my females (apparently, a common rooster trait). I just thought he/she was setting dominance. Then one morning at 4:30 he found his voice... and a new home, sadly. I love roosters, but my neighbors not so much.![]()

Personally, I like to hear the roosters. Sort of makes up for not having my own.
