My husband and I purchased a 5 chickens. 2 Calico Princess', 1 Brown Leghorn, and 2 barnyard mixes called Funfetties. One is a Frizzle mix, the other not sure but she's white with freckles.

Searching on the hows of raising chickens, and trying to find the perfect coop we came across backyardchickens.com. Love the site, and all there is to learn.

We enjoy hiking, tennis, biking, boating and being outside in our yard.

Our two sons flew the coop a few years ago, and we have a new Granddaughter that we hope will enjoy playing with our new feathered family. Our dog Tucker is getting used to them as well.

Looking forward to being part of the community

G'Day from down under tastone :frowWelcome and Congratulations! :clap

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock or Tucker, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

Funfetties- ha! Love it! :love No matter the sophisticated or silly breed name they're given, barnyard mutts really are some of the most exciting and colorful birds. :clap
Hope you enjoy your peck around!
