Good Afternoon, l’m Melody and my hubby John have ripped off the bandaid and gotten ourselves 6 beautifu new chicks. We are pretty excited.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are new to chicken keeping, we loved the neighbors small flock when they came to visit. Unfortunately the neighbors moved we missed the chicks visits, so we decided to get our own.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We have 6 2 week old chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have? We have Leghorns.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? The eggs are a bonus but we love their personalities.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening is a big hobby for both of us.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. It’s just the 2 of us and our 2 Ragdoll cats. I’m retiring after 30years with the county, the hubby is a safety guy for a big corporation.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
