New Chicken pen maybe?

Thinking about putting some boards up on this and making me another pen out of it. Wanting to raise some roosters and butcher them so this would be a good place for that I think. Going to take the stones out and put in deep litter.

Rosemarie, this is so cool. Isn't it funny that we can see something and immediately think, "I could wrap that in wire and put some chickens in it". Almost everything I'm seeing lately fits that category And I'm looking.

LOL yep it is. I saw a dresser the other day that someone took and made a chicken tractor from and the drawers in it was the nesting area. lol

I know some people that made one of these to set in. They put some kind of net/screen around it to keep bugs out

Yeah I had a table set up in it and had some icyle sp? lights in the top of it. I've already done a lot to it getting it ready for my wire. Got to get the stone out next and then I will be ready for the boards.

It's turned off cold again on us so I haven't been able to do anything out there. Winds a gusting like no telling what. BURRRRR I hope tomorrow it doesn't blow so I can get out there and knock out those stones. Suppose to be like in the 50's I think they said and IF the wind doesn't blow maybe I can handle that so I can work on it some before it gets too hot to do it.

RoseMarie, my SIL said "I thought you were going to garden today". Is he crazy? I've got just enough strength to do a little a day plus my chores. I might end up with a fall garden.

oh I know what you mean about the strength! Mine comes and goes with these thyroids yo-yoing around on me. Lose weight and then gain weight. ugh.....so annoying. LOL @ your fall garden. yep I KNOW what ya mean! We have to laugh about it though don't we? I actually got to do some things outside today. Was sunny and nice. Wind was blowing but it wasn't cold until this evening late. Got half of the stones out of there and also almost finished a pen. My nephew gave me a shipping crate they had at work and we cut holes in the sides of it and the bottom and on the door for small hole hardware cloth the other day. I was able to get the hardware cloth on it today and get the front put back on it and I also cut a hole out in that for the door. Now I've got to make the door and then finished painting it and I will be done.
Yeah and we NEED to be tilling up our garden and get started workin on that to. Always something more to do huh?

Just more than glad I can though. well sometimes I can.
