New chicken raiser in Western WA

Hi,

My name is Jeff and I am new to raising chickens. I started off this year with McMurray Hatchery's Meat & Eggs Combo: 15 meat chickens and 10 layers +1. 12 of the meat chickens lived until butchering at 8/9 weeks. My layers are all 17 weeks old. A month ago I got 25 Rhode Island Reds and on Saturday I will be building a new coop for them. I am an electrician by trade and am starting a small five-acre farm.
