New Chicken Raiser

Hello all...I'm new to raising chickens and while there's a ton of info to search thru I'm looking for more one on one advice from those of you who have been at this longer than I. My girls are just now beginning to lay eggs. I have 11 hens and one rooster. Not all of them yet but getting there. Thanks in advance.

I'm in Kalispell MT.

I do need help though sooner than later with my Rooster. Unfortunately my HOA does not allow roosters. I've been trying to find him a good home via Craigslist but nothing yet. I'd prefer not to cull him so if anyone has idea for finding a home for a rooster please let me know.

Hi, sorry you have to give up your boy. BYC has a Buy-Sell-Trade forum with a category for "Animals in Need of Free Re-Homing"...try posting there and don't forget to include your general location.
