At least get her a apron and has this rooster had any "experience" with the ladies?
If not you might want to watch the antics just to make sure the hen isn't really beat up.
I also second the recommendation on the quarantine. Otherwise you may end up with one hen and no rooster and right back where you started with a lonely chicken.
