We have added to our little coop and run. We rescued our chickens back in May and being first time chicken parents, its been a learning experience!! lol we finally got the time to expand our run, or add another run to the other side of our little coop. We have 10 hen's and a rooster.
The coop is an old playhouse and the little run on the right is what we quickly put together when we learned we were about to rescue chickens! On the left is the gate going into the new run that spans 100 feet around the some trees and incorporates a decorative fence.
The fence is now repaired and we are about to put the second top layer of wire around. It was difficult to dig the wire down into the ground to prohibit something, either chickens or predators, from digging under so left a 10 inch skirt all the way around the outside and have started piling mounds of gravel on top of it.
