I finished my 1st chicken tractor last sunday night. We went over to pick out are first chickens Monday evening after work. Poults to start. Just 6 1/2 months old, and were told theyre starting to see an egg here and there. 3 Buff Orpingtons and 3 GoldenComets. After getting them settled in their new digs, I figures it would be a while before we saw an egg being as they were not only young, but had to get comfy in their new surroundings. Much to my surprise, they left me a gift when I got home tuesday afternoon. The first words out of my wifes mouth after taking the egg in the house, and mind you this is coming from someone that was dead set against chickens until 2 weeks ago......"We gotta get 6 more". She's likin the new addition as much as I am!!
