New chickens arrive

Maybe they were ex-battery hens.  I know they will flourish under your care.  I would check for  extra baggage that came with them,  like lice or mites, worms, and possibly some diseases as well.    :frow
they just got wormed, and I haven't seen any visible signs of bugs on the couple I was able to catch. I have fibromyagia so I have limits as to how much chasing and physical exertion I can do, some days I can barely walk.

I read your other post about your DH getting you chickens but now I have a chance to officially say hello & it's nice to have you here!

Update on the chickens
So far so good, only getting an egg or 2 a day but they seem to be settling in and getting more used to me coming in and out of the coop. They do not like getting up in the mornings, I think they are teenagers lol. A few of them will go outside in the yard but most of them just wanna stay in the coop(not sure how to fix this). I still can't tell them apart as they are all white Leghorn hens, with the exception of one I call crazy lady! Crazy Lady I think has OCPD ( obsessive compulsive pecking disorder). She pecks EVERYTHING the walls, the feed scoop, the perch, the buckets the feed is kept in...While working in the coop the other day she was fixated on the hammer! I started calling her crazy lady, I always know where she is by the peck peck peck..Peck peck! Pic of her below focused on pecking the feed scoop this morning.

Here she is acting all innocent because I got on to her( it does get rather annoying after awhile).

But it only lasted a moment then back to pecking she went..
