New chickens, how long should I quarantine

Our friend gave us two new chickens that are full grown, and I was wondering if you how long should I quarantine them before I let them meet our other chicks? What are things I should look for? And if you could help me I was wondering how I should integrate the other 8 week olds with the two adults?

I would probably just let them start integrating if they don't seem sick... they are so pretty!

If you are *strictly* adhering to biological quarantine then you'd want to do about a month. If you're not being strict about it (full clothing change, the 2 setups are as far apart as possible on the property, at least 100 ft or more, etc.) then there's really no point in quarantining at all.

How many chicks do you have? How big is the coop and run?

The new ones only two, but our original batch we have 4 9 week olds and 3 5 week olds. Our run is 10x10 and I’m not sure on the coop. I’m just worried about our little ones maybe getting sick from the older ones since the older ones came from a friend who free ranges there chickens.

Asked about the set up to see how easy/hard integration will be once time comes. Since you have a lot more little ones than adults that will help.
