Hello all! I live in Massachusetts with my boyfriend, his son, and our three dogs. I’ve been lurking on this forum for a few months, but now that I actually have chickens, I am ready to introduce myself. We got our coop last weekend and just got two 10-week-old CCL ladies this afternoon.

Neither of us are particularly handy, so we commissioned a pre-built coop from Champion Coops by Wooden Wonders of Maine. I cannot recommend them highly enough. “Pre-built” almost does not do this justice. They delivered this to our place, but you can also get coops delivered as a kit (medium size, for 2-6 birds).

Welcome to BYC!! ❤️

So glad you joined! And good for you, for getting a coop that looks big enough for the hens you have and possibly a couple more, well-made out of quality wood and wire, enough ventilation, predator-proof, and attractive-looking!
You've obviously done your research on what chickens really need, instead of buying the cheapest of foreign-made retail coops and getting your heart broken when predators attack and the coop doesn't hold up, or disintegrates after a few years.
Well done! Hope you enjoy your chicken journey.
