Just picked up our small flock of 7 this past weekend. Domineckers and speckled Sussex...doms are laying. Sussex haven't started yet. They're 7-8 months old.

Got these chickens for my little girl but we are all thoroughly enjoying them. Plan to expand as time moves along but for now we're gonna stick to what we've got and see how it goes.

These are hatchery chickens but we'd like to find some local breeders with some of the varieties we like.

Once you decide to focus on a particular breed(s), search for threads on them as there is a thread on almost all breeds. That way you will get to know members that are breeding them.
