My 11 year old daughter went to her first chicken auction and is hooked. She already had some Rhode Island Red hens, some Barred Rocks, and some Buff Orpingtons. Here are some pics of some of her new ladies. Any idea on breeds? The pics may not be the best. If not, I can take new tomorrow.

I'll throw a wild guess on the first photo : the blue one on the left could be a blue copper Marans, event though she doesn't have feathered legs (it's a big no-no here in France, but I understand that it's not that much of an issue in the US).
The bearded one could be some kind of Araucana, Ameraucana or Easter/Olive-egger mix out of the previous breeds.
No idea on the other ones though... Maybe ISA browns and Australorp?

Here are the "red and white" ones. I think that the girl that brought them to the auction had said they were Golden Comets?

The "all black ones" have a green sheen to their feathers in the right light.

Does anyone know what the typical laying season is for a Blue Copper Marans? I have Googled and Googled and Googled some more and cannot find anything that says. Most breeds, I can find that information on. Thanks!
