I just bought two Ameraucanas two weeks ago. The woman who sold them to me said they had just started laying. Since I have had them in their new environs, however, they have not laid at all. They still have pink rather than red skin (wattles, etc) and are not acting in any way like they are close to laying. I really dont think the woman was lying to me, although that is a possibility. The store is pretty reputable. How long does it usually take to settle in?
