New chickens pics and questions

We just got our first two chickens, we have no clue what we are doing. Lol
But now we are trying hard to make a coop for them out of pallets and hope it all works out.
The place we got them said they don't know the sex which doesn't help us at all, it's sad bc I have fallen in love with them and it would be so sad if one turns out to be a rooster
We have looked up hints of how to find out but it's left more questions then ever. If anyone could help it would be awesome !!

It may be too young to tell. What ages and breed are they? Can only see one well. Need photo of one to right.
