I can only get new chicks once every two years, we don't have enough people to eat the eggs produced by more than two laying hens at a time
Haha I have the same thing! BUT one of my hens went broody the day after I bought a hen that had been kept with a rooster, so now the new hens fertile eggs 'slipped' out of the quarentine cage, over the fence and under my broody!
"I can't help it if some rogue rooster broke into my yard and messed with my girls" <thats my story anyway! My mums a sucker for babies so we'll probably keep them all lol
I love light brahmas, I'm going to get one for my next girl. Very nice chicklets! Sucks about the baby though
