Here is a couple of pictures of the bucket and plank setup I don’t believe anything on the end is necessary. Although I put it there it’s a great mousetrap with a little peanut butter on the roller too.

Yes, I'm well versed in the bucket trap- it's been appearing on youtube and in BYC off and on for years.
Even with the regular wooden mousetraps I found if I used a toothpick to put just a dot of peanut butter on the trap - the mice would go for it. Same with the sticky traps a dot of pn butter off a tooth pick. Mice must have an amazing sense of smell - leading to their downfall.

I've used bucket traps for mice, but I honestly never even considered using it for crickets. That's really cool!
