new chickens

hello, how old should the chicks be before i introduce them to a nesting box? 2 of them like to sleep on a perch as the other 2 prefers the corner of the what every i made...they r outside in the day time and at night i bring them inside until i get the coop up.

Your nest boxes should be lower than your roost/perch to encourage them to not use the boxes as a roost or bed. Also you may just want to keep it closed off for the first four months then when you do open it up to them you can put some kind of a fake egg or a golf ball in it to encourage them to lay eggs inside the nest and not in the corner of the floor.
