New chickens

I just got my first two chickens, and the lady that gave them to me (who I know well) said to keep them in the coop for a minimum of two weeks. Seems a little long to me. Thoughts?

She's right. You want the chickens to view the coop as their home base and return to it to roost at night. If you don't give them time to come to that point, they might wander away and not come back.
