Hi! So I’m new in just about every way to chickens. Currently I have 8 of them. Three dark brahmas, three partridge rock, and two silkies. My daughter Wanted them so bad and since we fled back to the family farm I thought why not. I’m a horse person not chickies, but I think I’m in love. They’re somewhere around 6 weeks old and spoiled as can be by my kids. Their coop went together yesterday and they got to enjoy the great outdoors from it almost all afternoon.
I have no clue what I’m doing Yay! But we have three different books on raising chickens that my daughter and I read and google. So hopefully they’ll be ok. We have five dogs between my parents and I, a cat, and a 31 year old horse on our farm. We just bought a bigger tractor (yay!) and are having a great time this spring.
