New Chicks - Ameraucanas, Noir Maran & Buff Orphingtons

My first 15 hens are 2 years old going on 3, so today I bought 14 new chicks to keep the egg production high, even when my older girls egg laying start to decline. I got 4 Noir maran, 4 Buff Orphington and 6 Ameraucanas. I've never raise any on these breeds before, but they are what the local feed store had on hand.

Attached is a photo of the Ameraucanas. 5 are dark and one is light. Wondering why there is this color variation.

Anyone else have Ameraucanas, Noir marans or Buff Orphington? Any tips?View attachment 2053499
Our light colored easter eggers have been either pure white or light grey, the dark chipmunk ones are brown and black as adults.
The first picture has 2 buff orpingrons;)
In the picture further below, the 2 on the left are the darker easter eggers, the one in the very front right is a light colored one. They are very pretty birds!

What colored eggs do you get from your Easter Eggers?

i have buff orpingtons and ameraucanas. buff orpingtons are pretty friendly and good layers. they also go broody pretty often and make good mamas. ameraucanas lay blue and green eggs which i think is pretty cool, but they’re also really friendly. mine don’t go broody as often as my buff orpingtons. cute babies! :love
