New Chicks arrive today!

I've been tracking my babies by text and they arrived at the main facility at 0330 and hit town at 0630. I've been glued to my phone for the call to come get them when they opened and before I could get a call I get an update that they are "Out for delivery." I don't know if I should drive down there now or wait to see if they come. UGH.

I remember getting my first batch of mail order chicks from Murray McMurray hatchery like it was yesterday (actually 45 years ago). Mom and Dad let me play hooky from school and the mail carrier dropped them off at the house. All 32 chicks arrived alive and I did not lose a single one. There was a White Jersey Giant rooster in that shipment that ended up close to 15 pounds and he was a real sweetheart.

If you aren't sure what is going on with them I would give a call up to your local post office. 99% of the time they are held at the post office. Good luck and hope your babies arrived safe and sound
