. I'm going to sell my packing peanuts at my local Tractor Supply. Every first Saturday of the month, my local TSC has this thin where you can go and buy/sell/trade livestock.

Your chicks are VERY cue my the way ;)

They are four weeks old now.

They waited patiently in a bookcase filled with pine shavings while my son and I built a chicken coop. I will post those pictures in another thread soon. (It's so hard to find the time to sit down and upload images - busy busy!)

So did anyone besides me (and be honest now) immediately start mentally singing the theme song from "The Wonder Pets' when they saw this picture of the chick flying the purple feeder? All I could see was Ming Ming (and yes, I know he's really a duck) and the others getting into their little flying machine to save a unicorn or something! Toooo cute!

I also just got my new babies, i picked up Ameraucana", RIR's, and Polish, in all i have 29 chicks. Im a novice at all this, from the chhens and roosters i adopted, to these lil chicks i bought yesterday they are 2 days old and cute as ever. If anyone has some advice on caring for my chicks id be happy to hear from you. Ive put them in a 50 gal drum cut in half and set up chick starter, drinking water, and heat lamp, they sitting out in the mud room.

(forgive me for my newbie post, I hope I am in the right forum) I got the call from the post office at 7:30 this morning while I was on my way to work. I said, "Okay!" I called my teenaged son to wake him up and send him to go get them. He arrived at the post office before they opened, knocked on the door, and was directed to the "noisy corner" to pick up his package. This was our order: 1 black cochin rooster 1 black cochin hen 4 auracana hens 1 egyptian fatoumis hen 2 black kraienkoppe hens We received 25 chicks! The rest were white leghorn roosters. I'm sure they will be great at Thanksgiving dinner. :) The chicks came from Ideal Poultry, and all survived the trip. why so many roosters holy cow that's a lot of noise lol
