And I was wondering if anyone has ever used a seedling heat mat when picking up chicks from USPost ? Thought I might cover it with a towel ......any suggestions ? I am in Florida not exactly the frigid tundra. Thanks in advance

I've used a seedling heat pad to make a heat cave. I too live in Florida. If you are talking about creating heat between the PO and home, you should be fine with just a bit of heat from the car's heater. I'm in Orlando, and if I was to get chicks right now, I wouldn't even worry about it until I got home.

If you do use it, then a towel should be just fine. When i did the heat cave I just used a pillow case to cover it and it worked fine. Best of luck.

Edited: spelling and word choice.
phone says it's smart, I disagree.
