new chicks from Ideal Hachery

Just picked up (6;30 am) my chick order from Ideal Hactchery. Over the years I have ordered alot of chicks from alot of different hatcheries but today was a first for 100% survival. All 25 Houdans and WLR Cornish arrived in great shape. Of course, some of the credit has to be attributed to the US Post Office. 24 hours from Texas to Montana is terrific. Ideal and the USPO are tops in my book. Now the long wait to see how they turn out.

Agreed! I couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of service I've received from Ideal. Since I have very little faith in the USPS (or any other shipper for that matter) OldGal and I drove the hundred and fifty miles round-trip to Cameron to pick ours up.

Hello RobRoo,

I live in SW Montana myself. Good to hear that your chicks arrived safely.....How are they doing now?
We have an incubator but need to get some new blood in our flock so I am shopping around looking at hatcheries for chicks. I will have to give Ideal a look.
