We picked up 5 more chicks to add to our flock yesterday. All straight run so I am hoping they are all ladies bu already thinking one Maran may be a rooster. Let me know what you all think of my new babies.

Much too early to tell. Usually between 5-10 weeks is the best. I would repost some pictures after they are older.

The Marans males will be showing size and color on combs and wattles by 5-6 weeks....not sure about the frizzle dizzle ones tho.

So cute! Love the frizzle! Too early to tell gender for sure but there are some already with larger combs...I wouldn't say for sure until they are older though, good luck with them! :D

So I have a few updated pics. I know at least one of the Marans I think is a roo. I am hoping I am safe on the Ameraucana still not sure on the Frizzles though.

A few more weeks you should be able to tell for sure, the first picture does look like a rooster and pullet, for now.
