New chicks introducing them with hens

I just had a racoon attack my chicks I had 11 and only 2 survived we just ordered more babies but I’m not sure how to put them together my chickens will be 6 weeks when I get the new babies. Can anyone give me advice?

A see but no touch set up works well. Put them close so the older ones can see them do this for a week or so. Maybe longer until the grow up some. If there is a problem when they are put together then do it for another week

Are you getting day old chicks?

What is your current set-up? Are your 2 current chicks in a brooder or the coop? How much space do you have (dimensions of brooder/coop, run)? Pics are great!

(Edit #2: That post mentions quarantine as the OP was adding older chicks. I didn't quarantine the day-olds I got this year, as they were from an NPIP hatchery)

I’m getting day old chicks, my hens were in the coop but they are now in the house in a brooder because the coop is not fixed completely. I can’t get the pictures to work I will send pictures of the coop and brooder later

So you have two 6 week old chicks left?
If they are females, they would be called pullets.

FYI.....semantics, maybe, but can be important communication terms when discussing chicken behavior.
Female chickens are called pullets until one year of age, then they are called hens.
Male chickens are called cockerels until one year of age, then they are called cocks(or cockbirds or roosters).
Age in weeks or months is always a good thing to note.
