New chicks on the way

My Silkie is brooding, she hatched one chick a little more than a month ago and it just disappeared only two days after hatching. No signs of it, or parts of it anywhere
I'm worried about this batch. What can I do to save this bunch?
Could the other chickens have eaten it?
First time grandma.

It would be best if you could seperate your broody hen from the rest of your flock to protect the newly hatched chicks.

My silly hens want to go broody in the winter, when I don't want them to, so I have no first-hand experience here, only what I've read.

Hopefully someone with first-hand experience will see this and reply!
