After a mishap with a door not being shut tight, a 'playful' German Shepherd, and a low brooder, our new flock was down to 2 red sexlinks... So, after some thought, and a little construction to raise the brooders up 2 feet, we ordered 11 chicks from healthy chicks and more. We got 2 barred rocks, 1 black australorp, 1 speckled sussex, 1 gold laced wyandotte, 1 silver laced wyandotte, 1 brown leghorn, and 4(sold as) araucanas that we think are just EE's-3 with tufts, 1 looks like it'll be rumpless, and 1 looks like normal. And they threw in a buff brahma(not sure on sex yet).

Earlier today, my wife was getting fresh food and water and cleaning a couple pasties, and while the cover was off, the 2 older red's, hopped over and visited with the new babies! Wasn't able to get a shot of it, but everyone was all cuddles, until they saw her!

The 2 RSL's in for the night...The lighter one is named 'French Fry', and the darker one is 'Nugget'-thanks to our 6 year old....

Updated pics!

Our Buff Brahma....roo....or protective, picky hen. I had to split the 12 up into 2 brooders for a bit, and this one squawked because I put the 2 wyandottes in the other brooder.
