I'm going to become an obsessed chicken lady :lau We currently have got three Rhode Island Reds at 12 weeks old three barred rocks at 12 weeks old and 12 barred rocks at 6 weeks old I believe all of my 12 week old chickens are roosters, I know for sure at least two or three are crowin, or trying to at least lol. But I've had all of my chicks since they were one to two days old. I just recently got four new baby silkie chickens that are going to be pets only I have heard they are a lot more fragile than other breeds is there anything that I should do differently for them than I did for the other chicks? Ain't they adorable???? Got to think of neutral names as we don't really know if they're either male or female 20170627_202834.jpg

Ok so, I could possibly be a little paranoid, but I'm concerned about one of the chicks... Nugget this chick has been not lethargic but very noticeably less active than the other ones and seems to stay by itself when the others lay together... few pics kinda trying to show what I mean... 20170627_213016.jpg 20170627_213608.jpg here wasn't interested in trying to find food and water like the others just wanted to lay there but with little encouragement did go to food and water to eat and drink, just seems "slower" than the other chicks, could just paranoid but really stuck out to me, how they're sleeping... 20170627_215139.jpg but has been in that spot maybe 10 min or more before the others settled down

Another example I about tripped on the bucket as I'm very clumsy and the other 3 were all up and running, this one just raised its head for a bit to look than laid it's head back down
