I would worry about the older, stronger and energetic chicks trampling them or hogging the food and water. Then there's the whole picking on the weaker birds problem.
I would also be concerned that the younger chicks might not have strong enough immune system to fight off any germs the older ones have that aren't a problem to their more developed systems.

I'm in no way an expert. Mostly just book and forum educated!

I agree with rainbowgardens. I would give them at least a week before you try putting them together.
