Hi everyone,
I'm new here and new to raising chickens. I have 5 chicks in a brooder 2 of which are 6 weeks old and 3 that are 4.5 weeks old. Overall it seems like they are all getting along really well however I am noticing that one of my mystic onyx (4.5 weeks old) has developed some scabbing and inflammation on the back of her neck. I've done some research and it seems like there could be a whole laundry list of reasons behind this from Mareks to bullying. I was hoping the community here could offer some insight and advice on how to help this one heal up and feel better.
I also fear that the brooder is getting too small for them at this point and am wondering if its smart to move the two older chicks to the coop this weekend while the other three stay in the brooder another couple weeks?
Thank you!
