Pasty butt or scabs?

Help please, 6 new chicks are 2 weeks old. A Mystic Onyx has had pasty butt with some constipation almost daily. Eats and drinks well, seems fine otherwise but vent appears swollen. Her skin is black so can't see any redness. I've cleaned several times daily and used vaseline for the last week. Now all edges of her vent have dark crusty bumps on them that I can't soak off. The bumps move freely with the vent skin so aren't gluing her shut. However she always poops a lot, usually with a loud chirp, right after cleaning. Are these scabs possibly? Trying olive oil today, but not sure what else to do.

The olive oil seemed to help some but not much. Her vent is not usually stuck shut. I just can't get her skin clean of the crusty stuff no matter what I try. So thought maybe it's scabs?
