I have new baby chicks I have had grown chickens but not babies.
I live in middle tn between Nashville and Chattanooga.
How old should they be before I put them out in the chicken house. It does have plastic
around it. Thanks for any help

I wouldn't know what the temps are like there, but if they are all feathered in, and the temps are above freezing, then they can go outside. Have fun!!

It is May and you live in the mid-south. At 5-6 weeks, they will be fully feathered and do quite nicely outside. No problems. Wean them off the heat from 4 week onward, getting them used to your daytime temps near 80 and your night time temps near 55. They will adjust very, very quickly. At three weeks old, in your climate, all they'd need is a 90 watt flood lamp for heat, 24" above them, with room to move away from it.
