New chicks with 11 day old chicks?

Is it ok to put new chicks with 11 day old chicks?

I did and it worked out very well! I brought home a 4 day old speckled Sussex. The others make sure she is warm and taken care of. They are 2.5 weeks old.

I sat with them for 2 hours to make sure they were fine with each other.lol

I bought chicks from TSC, then a week later, I had a couple hatch out of the incubator. I let them rest in a little brooder box I made for a few days, then I put them in with the TSC chicks (I think they were probably 10 days old by then.) Everybody got along just fine.....

What I did though, was totally clean out the bigger brooder, rearrange things a little bit and added something new, like a bigger feeder and waterer, plus a log for them to hop on......So everybody felt like they were in a new area.....I think that helped!

Should work fine. I believe you have about a 3 week span of safety with young chicks.

If it were me, I'd hang around a while, anyway. And probably take them outdoors to do the mixing so they are busy with other things.
