we are to receive some new additions to the flock
when can we start to give them hard boiled yolks and yogurt
im guessing yolks for the protein and yogurt for good bacteria
do we give them both in the first week
ive read not to give them medicated starter feed unless their sick so not to build an immunity to the antibiotics
so do you ground up the pellets to make a mash for the chicks and is this a better way to start them on organics? (organic pride)
and the pellets contain 16 % protein if we want to help bring this up im guessing the yolks and yogurt will help them a lot

It all depends. I did not give treats until the third week but I chose to wait. I also chose to let them eat it in the chicken tractor because someone said they made a mess and they sure did!!! Flicked the yogurt EVERYWHERE!!!!

, Congrats on the new chicks to be. I don't know about the snacks but I have always used medicated chick starter with no problems in 2 yrs. But it everyone's choice. Good luck and enjoy those fuzzybutts.
