I have some new baby chicks coming on Sept 4th.
There will be 4 Plymouth Rocks and 4 Orp Buffingtons.
(hope that is spelled right)
Anything special I need to know about these two types
of chickens? Will they co-habitate peacefully? What are
some problems I need to look for with new baby chicks?
I understand that these two types are good egg layers.

I'm guessing that you mean Buff Orpingtions. Orpingtons are a breed and buff is the color of your birds. They will get along fine with the Rocks. Just keep the chicks warm with plenty of fresh food and water. Keep the bedding clean and keep an eye out for pasty butt and you'll do fine :)

Yes, of course Buff Orpingtons, my mistake. Got that backwards.
Yes, the are buff or beige in color. So they should be okay
with the Plymouth Rocks...good....
Pasty butt, explain....???? Is there where the feces collects
around their bottom and dries.....????

Yes, pasty butt can actually cover their vent and prevent them from eliminating thus causing death.

My chicks had pasty butt, and all ya gotta do is get a warm washcloth and wipe it off gently. It goes away after awhile.
