I started last year this time with 8 hens...mixed breeds.... Have 3 left that are all doing great. Lost the 5 to a neighbors dog, which this problem is now under control..
The neighbor just brought me 12 ISA brown sex links as replacements .... 6 days old now and in a brooder pen....

I have a coop and 6x20 run... by big hens coop at night but free range all day.
