In the Brooder
Hello All,
I have really learned a lot already from this site and appreciate everyone that is able to help! I grew up on a hobby farm, but was never really interested in it until the past year or so. My grandfather was a farmer who farmed for a living and not for a profit. He never made over $5,000 in a year and used his resources to support his family. I learned a lot about the value of growing your own food and how important caring for the animals that provide you with the means to live are. Now with a wife and children I am looking forward to sharing with them all that I was able to learn growing up. I live on a half acre lot in a medium sized city and am working on raising quail (traditional poultry are too loud and would not do as well inside my shed). I currently have 9 white Coturnix quail with 60 in the incubator. I am hoping to grow out from there. Please let me know if I can help you out at all!
Thanks,
