New Cockrell to flock of pullets

I have a 7wk cockrell that I need to introduce into a group of 8 pullets that are 4wks. At what age is the best time to mix him in. Younger or older. Now or wait for a few more weeks.

I’m sorry to tell you but I think that cockerel will cause a lot of problems. Cockerels start getting their big-boy hormones long before pullets are ready for that and it can lead to a lot of stress in the flock.

I always recommend waiting until the pullets are beginning to lay and then get a cockerel that is younger than they are so they can tell him to back off if need be.
