during an experimental sex-linked breeding, I ended up with some colorations and feather patterns I have never layed eyes on before, even with research. The feathers on the pullets are of a mixed feather pattern. There is the typical look of the typical buff columbian, where the neck, tail, and wing tips are black. some of the feathers on the body are typical golden spangled, but the remainder are the mystery feather color pattern. I would guess it to be a golden laced for the unknown pattern coloration, but its reversed. Instead of black lacing on the gold background, its a gold background with a black lacing or stripe in the internal part by the quill. I do have pictures of them, very pretty, very unique.

can you provide the parents genetic background? like E locus or breed ?

Very pretty. They look like the coloring of many Easter Egger chickens. Maybe that is how the hatcheries are coming up with that coloration.

Here are pictures of the young cockerals from this same breeding. They are just starting to get their sex feathers, which are coming in yellow on the saddle and hackle feathers. I am located in PA and looking for a another breeder who would be interested in a pair of these to continue this coloration. I am also keeping a small flock to continue working on this unique coloration. Anyone know of anyone interested?
