Hi all. I just finished converting one of my sheds into two separate runs for my flock. I want one side to be for breeding. I put the two hens and rooster that I want to breed in the new run. Should I let the others just decide who is going to go into the other side of the new construction, or is it ok to pick which birds I put in there. They have all been so used to going into the same coop at night I'm afraid to put any stress on them. I'd ultimately like to put my 3 buffs along with a few of my younger birds on the other side of the breeding area.

Sorry for the newb question. There is so much to learn about these precious birds.

Thanks.

Put 'em where you need 'em to be. See what happens. If you need to change it up, you'll notice and fix anything. After all, life is flexible and ever-changing, right?
