New coop arriving today

Hi everyone,

Since our old coop is 4th hand we decided to treat our babies with a new coop..... Is it as easy as moving the old one out the way and replacing it??? My chickens are very free range, was just a little worried that they wouldn't roost in a new one????

They'll probably be afraid of it, silly birds. Bribe them with a few treats, sit with them, give them a little time. You might even have to put them inside by hand, hopefully only for a night or two. They do have a time with anything new, it seems. And, they might surprise us both. Can you keep some parts of the old one by the new one to help them recognize it as their home?

You could close them in the new coop for a few days to acclimate them to the new coop.
Give them lots of treats in there to keep them busy and happy.
