Yes, we definitely have predators! Raccoons and skunks are a definite. The black bears are timid around here,... has anyone had an issue with bears?

Sorry for the delay! Heat, rain, and general laziness (

) have taken their toll on the progress!

I've done a bit of painting inside, and today we began to add trim around the windows. It's decorative, but it should also keep little paws from getting under the edge of the hardware cloth. It was storming every 45 minutes or so, and then the battery on the circular saw died, so we'll probably have to finish that job next Monday. (DH is a musician and is busy weekends.) So, I'll be painting and fussing over the weekend.

Apparently I fell down on the job of photojournalist, because I failed to capture our full progress, but we have all of the trim finished around the western 3 windows and vent as well as the window above the pop door. We need to finish the trim around the pop door, human door, and back vent.

Here's poor, faithful Talli.
