New Coop Did I Forget Anything

Your coop looks great

Not sure if you have a hawk problem but you may want to consider running wires across the run area.

I am under construction with a similar size coop. Question for you... how many chickens do you think will fit comfortably in that size coop? Full size? Bantam? I don't want to stuff them in, but I would like to know what the "no vacancy" limit is.

I see you have lots of vent and some windows, a detail many people
forget to add when building a coop.

Making a vent and window makes good sense in a small space
by combining both the vent and a window.

Funny, LOL yeah I forgot the chicks. I'm wait till the 13th of March, because I have to go to an all day workshop in south central Missouri not 30 miles from Cackle Hatchery. Going to pick them up and bring them back with me. Wanted everything just right before the little one's come. Yes I think I may have a hawk problem but they won't be outside for a while but suggestion noted. The size is roughly 4'X4' and will probably fit 6 nicely. But I'm going to free range in my vineyard to keep insects down so it will only be used as a coop at night so it should hold a maximum of 10-12 because full sized hens would spend little time in the coop. But over crowding is not good. I was raised on a farm when I was a kid, and I know that it's not good. That was a long time ago. I have a large vineyard so I'm in the process of designing another coop that will be about twice to three times this size. I'm going to put roosting boxes in so that I can keep the inside much cleaner. I will be doing that to this one also. You can see one of my vineyards in the background on the left side of the coop in the pin picture. The hens will be real close to it.

the coop looks real good, like thay said u may want to add wire to the top of the run
