New Coop from Ebay, need tips for improving.

My much modified "IKEA" coop is a surrounding run with food and water.

Removed old low perches and added 3 higher ones.

Added stacks of ventilation.

Added low door risers to allow deeper litter and don't bother with slide out tray

Works great for our 5 free range birds, they just sleep there.

The coop you bought is one of many cheap online coops that people have many problems with. I think the primary issues are they're very small, they're poorly constructed, and the cheap wood tends to warp and crack after the first rainy season. My only advice is to use wood sealer every year to try and keep the wood from warping. You may also need to completely cover it if the rain starts to penetrate inside the coop.

Will do. Yes, I would not recommend this coop to anyone. It is adorable, but of very poor quality. You live, you learn.
