We used pressure treated 4x4 for the legs, leftover plywood which we painted with deck paint, T111 siding, two different kinds, odds and ends for trim. Actually, the before picture is a dog house which I used for cats. It has a little cat door. We turned the door around and cut out a bigger window. The green and rasberry paint is exterior epoxy deck paint because some of the trim and plywood on the top of the nest boxes is not pressure treated. Time will tell how it holds up.

I agree with everyone else! It's really, really adorable! I especially love the colors you chose. The nesting box is just cute! Great idea of putting a vent in the door. I've been considering doing the same thing.
