New Coop, New to the Site, I love it

No I am not a builder, I have a 6 year old that wants a chicken coop so we sent to town. Like I said, it is over the top but it was a fun project.

Very nice looking coop. Love the style, black hardware, and bonus points for using hardware cloth.

Are you going to paint it or does it have clear coat on the wood? I would worry about the wood coming contact with the grass. Looks like the grass is up against the wood.

Paint is the next step, I think I will raise it off of the ground onto some 4X4's, cuttently the base is made up of 6 oak pallets so they should handle the ground for awhile. I am afraid if I lift it I will have rodents and snakes making a home under it. I guess they could do that anyways. More pics after the paint.
